Traci B. Wolfe, PP, CDE, CNE, is a dedicated legal professional with a passion for community service and nonprofit leadership. Born in Hickory, North Carolina, Traci has been an invaluable member of the Burnette Shutt McDaniel, PA team since 2007.

Traci's educational journey includes earning her Associates of Applied Science in Legal Support and Services (A.A.S.) with Cum Laude honors from Purdue Global in 2016. Her pursuit of professional development led her to obtain the prestigious Certified Development Executive credentials and Certified Nonprofit Executive designation from the National Association of Nonprofit Organizations and Executives (NANOE) in 2019. In the same year, she also achieved recognition as a Professional Paralegal from the National Association of Legal Secretaries (NALS).

In addition to her work within the legal profession, Traci has shown remarkable leadership in professional associations. She served as the President of the Legal Support Professionals of South Carolina (LSPSC) from 2023 to 2024, demonstrating her ability to inspire and guide fellow professionals. Prior to this role, Traci held consecutive terms as President of the Legal Support Professionals of Midlands (LSPM) from 2021 to 2023.

Beyond her professional achievements, Traci's personal journey is marked by resilience and philanthropy. Following the tragic loss of her 18-year-old son in a vehicle collision, Traci, along with her husband Ken and daughter Ashley, founded and operated a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness of teen fatalities for 15 years. Their commitment to making a positive impact in their community showcases Traci's unwavering dedication to serving others.

Recognized for her outstanding contributions, Traci was honored as the 2023-2024 Award of Excellence winner by the LSPSC and as the runner-up by NALS. Her commitment to excellence and service is further evidenced by her early legal career start with Cromer & Mabry Law Firm in Columbia in 2009.

Traci Wolfe exemplifies the epitome of professionalism, dedication, and compassion, both in her legal career and her commitment to making a difference in the lives of others.

Stephanie Jones has lived in Columbia, South Carolina most of her life. She graduated from Dreher High School with Honors in 2000 and obtained her Associates Degree in Paralegal Studies from Midlands Technical College. She graduated summa cum laude from South University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. She recently passed the NALS Professional Paralegal exam (PP) in 2021 and is now a South Carolina Certified Paralegal (SCCP).

Stephanie has worked in the legal field since 2004, first as a receptionist and then as a paralegal. In her years of paralegal experience, Stephanie has worked on civil litigation, domestic relations, and criminal defense cases. She has been with the Touma Law Group since November 2023.

Stephanie is currently a member of NALS, the national association for legal support professionals. She currently holds a board of directors position with the Legal Staff Professionals of South Carolina, and is the President of the Legal Staff Professionals of the Midlands. Stephanie is dedicated to assisting organizations that provide for those battling addiction. She also advocates for programs that help inmates reintegrate into society. Stephanie lives in the Columbia area with her three daughters and two four-legged friends. She enjoys reading a good book and doing things outdoors with her family. She is always on the hunt for knowledge and finds comfort in learning from books, media, and talking to people from a variety of cultures.

Tara Jean Brown is a South Carolina certified paralegal focusing her efforts on Probate and Trust Administration. She earned her Professional Paralegal certification in March 2009 and her Advanced Certification for Legal Professional in March 2008. She has been in the legal field for thirty-three years. Tara finds the greatest joy is in helping clients understand their options and guiding them toward solutions that bring clarity, confidence, and peace of mind to their lives.

As a Paralegal at ChaceLaw Limited Company, Tara is one of the first points of contact for clients when they contact the firm about these practice areas. She and Jessica assist the attorneys in collecting the information from the clients, scheduling meetings, communicating with all parties in a case, and implementing documents to court. She is also involved with the preparation and drafting of legal documents, scheduling hearings and mediation, and working with the attorneys to move the case forward.

Tara is a member of the South Carolina Bar Paralegal Division since 2017, National Association for Legal Support Professionals [NALS] since 2004, Legal Staff Professionals of South Carolina [LSPSC] and Legal Staff Professionals of Greenville [LSPG]. She has served as President of Legal Staff Professionals of South Carolina and as President of Legal Staff Professionals of Greenville along with various other offices on both the State and Local levels.  She is currently the President of Legal Staff Professionals of Greenville and the Treasurer for Legal Staff Professionals of South Carolina. She is a NALS Board of Director and is in her second term as the NALS President. Tara has also served as the NALS Treasurer in 2022-2023 and 2024-2025. She has served as the Chairperson for the Annual Greenville County Probate Court Seminar, open to legal support staff, paralegals and attorneys.  Tara was awarded the 2015-2016 and the 2021-2022 Legal Staff Professional of South Carolina Award of Excellence; the 2010-2011 and the 2021-2022 Legal Staff Professional of Greenville Award of Excellence and was a 2016 NALS Award of Excellence Finalist. 

Tara is married to her loving husband Chris and has two boys, one of whom served in the United States Marine Corps and now owns his own business and the other son is working with his brother. In her spare she enjoys time with her husband, her beautiful grandbabies, Skylar and Everleigh, family and friends. She enjoys spending time in the Mountains or relaxing at the beach.

Mikki Hancock, originally from Williston, South Carolina, moved to the Orangeburg County area in 1994. After being injured on the job, she decided to return to school for Paralegal Studies at Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College, where she graduated with an associate’s degree in paralegal studies, having earned the highest GPA in her class. She was also a member of Phi Theta Kappa where she served as secretary.

She began working at Yarborough, Hutto & Jackson while attending school in 2001. She continued to work for YH&J until the retirement of F. Hall Yarborough in 2004. She moved on to Horger Law Firm for a short period before life changed.

Mikki was out of the field for several years but did not forget her love of being a paralegal. While working at a furniture store, she met another paralegal and started talking with her. That is how she came to Dean Law Firm in Orangeburg. She worked for Attorney Clyde C. Dean, Jr. since 2011 until his death in 2025. She now works for his successor attorney, Bud Fairey of Fairey Law Firm.

Working for Mr. Dean was the greatest asset to her career. Being educationally motivated, Mr. Dean encouraged Mikki to continue in her thirst for knowledge. By happenchance, Mikki learned about NALS and LSPSC. She became a member in April 2021 and has not stopped learning all she can. She received her Professional Paralegal certification upon completing the Professional Paralegal exam in June 2022. She also became a South Carolina Certified Paralegal under the SC Bar Association.

Currently, she is the President of her local chapter, Legal Staff Professionals of Orangeburg, as well the Functional Director of Certification and Education for the state chapter. Her goals are to bring knowledge of NALS to as many legal professionals in South Carolina during her tenure and get as many members certified.

Functional Director of Membership and Marketing Colleen Qunell has been an active member of Legal Staff Professionals of the Midlands, Legals Staff Professionals of South Carolina, and NALS for the past five years. She is currently the President of LSPM demonstrating strong leadership and organizational skills. She was previously Secretary/Treasurer for LSPM for two years. She also publishes the monthly LSPM newsletter, The Midlands Messenger.

Colleen earned her Associate of Science degree in Paralegal Studies from Columbia Junior College in 1999, graduating Summa Cum Laude. With over 27 years of experience as a paralegal, she has built her career in civil litigation, focusing on personal injury, mass tort, workers' compensation, and other negligence-related cases. Her extensive work on hundreds of cases and trials highlights her commitment to excellence in legal support.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Colleen enjoys spending her time reading, knitting, sewing, painting, and spending time with her friends and family. Although she has lived in South Carolina since the age of 10, she proudly remains a dedicated Chicago Cubs fan (Go, Cubbies!). Among her many accomplishments, Colleen considers being affectionately known as the "crazy aunt" by her five nieces and three nephews to be her most cherished achievement.

Meredith Lazarski joined Hale & Hale, P.A. in 2002 and has lived in the Hilton Head/Bluffton area since 1992. She became the first South Carolina Certified Paralegal from Beaufort County in 2016. Meredith is a B.A. graduate from the University of South Carolina and holds two advanced paralegal certifications from National Association for Legal Assistants (NALA). She is also a member of the National Association for Legal Assistants, National Association for Legal Support Professionals (NALS) and Legal Staff Professionals of South Carolina, and received Legal Staff Professionals of South Carolina’s Award of Excellence for the year 2017-2018. Meredith provides assistance with real estate transactions and probate administration.
